About The Role

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join us at our Warehouse as a Leading Hand. 

 

Working collaboratively with another Leading Hand, the morning and afternoon shifts ensure logistical continuity across the warehousing and distribution functions.

 

Drawing from your well-rounded experience and demonstrating a commitment to health and safety, you will be a pivotal member of the team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be accountable for the effective and efficient warehousing and distribution function.

 

You will take on a hands-on role responsible for: 

  • Loading/unloading containers and trucks;
  • Put away of product;
  • Picking;
  • Stock checks;
  • Assist in maintaining an effective distribution system;
  • Inventory management;
  • Sorting and preparing all related documentation;
  • Assist in induction and training of warehouse personnel;
  • Work with the team and warehouse manager to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices;
  • Ensure on-time delivery service is maintained;
  • Work as a key member in a well-functioning team.

 

About you

 

Skills & experience you have include:

  • Demonstrated experience in warehousing and distribution, preferably in a medium to large warehouse;
  • Current forklift/stock picker license (or willingness to obtain);
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities;
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills;
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office;
  • Sound time management and organisational capabilities;
  • Ability to work and contribute within a team;
  • Current right to work in Australia.

Qualifications in warehousing and logistics or related discipline will be highly regarded.
