Full Time Ellerslie Bridgestone NZ

Financial Analyst

Ready to drive your finance career forward and make a real-world impact? Join the Bridgestone NZ finance team and help power a business that keeps New Zealand moving.

The Role

As our Financial Analyst, you will be a key contributor to our Finance team, working closely with our Financial Reporting Manager and supporting stakeholders across the business. Based at our National Support Office, this is a hands-on role that blends transactional finance, business partnering and meaningful reporting - ideal for someone who is hungry for their next challenge.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit in the background. You will be a doer, getting involved in the day-to-day grunt work, jumping in wherever needed and building genuine relationships with people across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting and Control: supporting month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow monitoring, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies
  • Business Partnering: preparing and distributing reports across the business and translating financial data into clear, actionable insights for a range of stakeholders
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: contributing to monthly forecasting cycles, variance analysis and supporting the annual budgeting process
  • Inventory and Asset Management: reconciling stock movements, reviewing asset registers and investigating unusual variances
  • Audit and continuous improvement: assisting with year-end audit preparation and supporting improvements across financial systems and processes

To Be Successful You Must Have

  • A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business as well as a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Experience or strong exposure to SAP, or a comparable large ERP system, as well as great Excel skills
  • Solid foundation in financial analysis with the people skills to match
  • A proactive, intuitive approach to work; you don't wait to be told, you see what needs doing and you do it
  • Genuine enthusiasm for being a team player, you're happy to help wherever needed
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment

In Return We Can Offer

  • Competitive remuneration package with regular performance reviews
  • Stability and genuine career growth opportunities within a global organisation
  • A dynamic, inclusive and flexible team environment
  • Excellent company discounts, staff buying privileges (including on tyres and servicing), and health insurance
  • Annual paid volunteer leave so you can give back to a cause you care about

Please note, as part of this process candidates will be asked to complete a short video screening. This involves two questions and takes around five minutes. No preparation is needed — just be yourself.
